(23/2/11) Lucy's doing well...

Lucy's just over a month old and apart from keeping us up all night every night, she's absolutely perfect! She's starting to become more alert during the day, so we're taking advantage of that to try and keep her awake a lot more in the (vain) hope that she'll sleep better at night. I'll hopefully be adding more pictures as-and-when I take them. It may be a while before they get added to this site though! In the mean time check out my Facebook page for the latest pics of Lucy (and lots of random crap).

 

(11/11/10) Wem-ber-ley, Wem-ber-ley...

We had an amazing weekend in London for the International Series matchup between the San Francisco 49ers (yeayyyy) and the Denver Broncos (boooooooo). I'll be writing more about it in the coming days but in the mean time here's our pics from the weekend. Prepare to be bored stupid...

 

 

(24/9/10) Mini-me is on his/her way...

Yes, Debbie and I are expecting our first child on January 20, 2011. Everything is going well so far, and he/she has really started to kick the hell out of Deb's stomach, although the kicking stops when I try to have a feel (no smut intended). I will shortly be adding a couple of ultrasound images from the 12 & 20 week scans so you can have a look at baby D and maybe spot some early likenesses to me or Deb!

 

(24/9/10) I'm back...

Well, after three months of domain name problems - forgotten password + extremely bad customer service (yes, Soho-UK, it's you i'm talking about!) = lapsed domain name! I'm finally back in the virtual world!

My domain name is now safely housed with 123-reg for at least the next two years, and i've made a note of the password this time :o)

 

(15/1/10) Niners are heading to Wembley...

Man, i'm so excited I think i'm gonna explode... ooops, I just did! The San Francisco 49ers will host the Denver Broncos in a regular season game at Wembley on Sunday October 31st, 2010. It will be a repeat of Superbowl XXIV when we tore them a new one in a majestic 55-10 win.

We've already booked a hotel room. Just waiting for the tickets to go on release at which point i'll probably explode again (or maybe my wallet will explode first!). Any more unexpected explosions and i'll go blind :o)  

UPDATE (24/9/10) - Club Wembley seats were purchased in January (more legroom, bigger seat - both of which will now be very much appreciated by Debbie & baby D) & the return train tickets were bought in September (for a very reasonable £55 each return from Keighley to Kings Cross - respect to Keighley train station as the cheapest I could find online was £84 each!!!)

 

(15/1/10) Weather update...

Yes, the snow is finally going... good riddance!

 

Damn weather ...

I am really bored of the unusually large amount of snow and sub-zero temperatures we've been having recently... This was the scene at 7am this morning (Jan 5, 2010) on our road... even the 4x4's were struggling. Well, the pretend 4x4's were, not the Range Rover's, Land Rover's etc. I've only been able to wash the cars ONCE since the beginning of December!!!! (it drives me mad even thinking about it :o) And even though the TT has only been out of the garage once since a week before Christmas, it's still pretty filthy - and looks slightly dirtier than it does in the picture (right).

I guess the snow is nice when you don't need to go anywhere, but it's a pain in the rear when you do! If I had a pound for every car i've seen with a lamp post embeded in it... i'd have three pounds, and that wouldn't even cover the cost of a decent pizza!

 

Nostalgia...

We all love a bit of it, don't we?! I've just stumbled upon this website - www.tv-ark.org.uk - and it's crammed full of theme tunes, intro's and clips from tons of classic tv shows, commercials, and even those bloody awful programmes we were forced to suffer at school during lessons - 'Look and Read', 'Watch', and who could ever forget 'You and Me' featuring Gary Wilmott and his puppet friends Cosmo and Dibs! Take a little trip on the TV Ark and knock yourself out with some nostalgia-heavy video clips.

 

Eastbound and Down...

I've just finished watching season one of a new comedy from the US. It's called 'Eastbound and Down' and it's the funniest show i've seen in a long time. Co-produced by Will Ferrell, it tells the story of Kenny Powers, a former major league baseball pitcher who loses his mojo. This extract is taken from the HBO website and kind of sums him up;

"Relief Pitcher Kenny Powers was poised to rule the Big Leagues, but two things got in the way: his fading fastball and his insufferable personality."

Wedding...

Well, thanks to Debbie our wedding went perfectly to plan. We all had an excellent day and it was great to have so many friends and relatives there to share it with us. Other News...

There isn't much else to talk about really, just working hard and partying likewise! Our resident tortoise, 'Crusty' is getting ready for his annual hibernation (lucky bugger!) so he's becoming even less active than usual! If you look closely at the picture you might just see him move :)

I can't really think of much else that's worth wasting your time with at the moment. Don't worry though, as soon as there is something even remotely interesting going on, i'll be sure to bore you with it let you know about it!
